A home in Brighton for Sarah & Orlando

Hey guys! I am searching for a new home in Brighton – if you can help, please get in touch!

What I am looking for

A nice home in Brighton – move in date ideally between 1/9 – 15/10, but that`s a little flexible.

Max. 480 pounds including bills. Fairly central, Kemptown would be really nice, but not essential.

The size of the room is not that important either as long as it can fit a desk. It would be great to live with creative, queer, or extra lovely people who are into yoga, meditation, lefty politics or activism, but I get on with anyone who is open minded and kind. The room will be for me and my small dog Orlando who is well trained and gentle – he really wont get in your way. I am not looking for a party house, but for a peaceful place to work, study and relax.

What I do & love

I am enthusiastic about life and my community, I love my work and my friends and I really enjoy Brighton. I like spending time on my own reading and writing and am not a party animal, even though I enjoy going out and dancing too. Some of my main interests are modern literature, buddhism, yoga, photography and lots of good food. I run an arts & craft club as well as donation based queer yoga classes, so I guess I am a sociable person managing a good balance between quiet time and enjoying community. Activism is important to me, I care about leading an engaged, positive life and making a difference as good as I can. I am 27, from Germany, a non-smoker and vegetarian. You can read more about my work on my blog.

How I spend my days

I am a freelance writer doing translations, general online marketing and research as well as a yoga teacher and thai yoga massage therapist. Safe to say I am never bored, I have a full life with lots of projects and lovely people. I practice yoga and meditation regularly and am pretty chilled out/know how to spend a good sunday in bed as well. I am keeping my own room tidy most of the time and am happy to chip in with whatever cleaning routine you have in your house. I am not obsessive at all, but I do like a nice atmosphere and I am known to light candles and cook for friends every now and then. My working hours can be very long at times including nights and weekends, but then I am also flexible to take days off or sleep in if I feel like it. I often work from home, but am also renting a desk space in town sometimes or just work in the library or a cafe.
