„Things I love“ is a regular column on The Mindful Voyage in which I share the pretty grains of sand I found online. Expect good advice, lots of queerness, vegan recipes, feminist thoughts, inspiration, travel notes, unusual stories, yoga and beautiful things to look at. If we have something in common, you might love these treasures too and if you sent me your personal favorites of internet wisdom, I might include them next time. Enjoy!
It´s almost summer solstice, but it still feels like autumn in Brighton. I´ve been busy with a coaching workshop and writing deadlines and slowly but surely I am starting to pack up and sell my caravan. I am extremely exited about my plans for the rest of the year, even if they are party still very uncertain. There are already so many beautiful souls around the world that I miss dearly, so Brighton will see me leaving with a heavy heart, adding some more unicorns to that far-away-people-castle in my heart. But between now and then is still a summer on the beach, trips to Berlin and Hamburg and Brighton Pride. Here are sweet things that kept me happy in the last days:

Amazon offers the beautiful book “Tiny beautiful things: Advice on life and love from someone who`s been there” by Cheryl Strayed for next to nothing these days. You can read it on your computer even if you don`t have a Kindle and you really should because it`s simple, gorgeous and practical advice that will have you sleep like a baby. If you read just one of her pieces, make it “Write like a motherfucker” – amazing words to a young writer in despair.
If the bikini season is getting to you even if you have a brave feminist heart, check out the Curve Appeal Project – its an awesome, supportive community made of curvy women around the world showing of their beauty.
The Queerituality Project is a collection of wise queers who open up about their spiritual path and the ways in which they made peace with religion. Read it in bed if you can`t sleep and wonder what life is all about.
A lovely fellow Brightonian has started Queer Kitchen – an awesome blog for vegan and vegetarian recipes which is open for submissions. A good place to spend your lunch break when you´re stuck with boring sandwiches and want to dream away.
Some of you seem to be brave enough to be out there dating new people. Crazy! Autostraddle has some awesome advice on OkCupid profiles, you guys.
If you have enough time to date, you should probably also read about all the brave uprisings happening around the world. Send some solidarity to Brazil, yo.
Finally I´d like you to look at a cute picture of my dog:
